KRISTEN ALESCH

Kristen is a Manager at Empower Schools based in Colorado. Before joining Empower Schools, Kristen worked across K–12 education and public policy, including as a Public Policy Fellow with Leadership for Educational Equity and with Colorado Youth Congress supporting statewide advocacy and youth leadership initiatives. She began her career as a high school Spanish teacher and later served in school operations and leadership roles, including founding operations manager and assistant principal, across charter and traditional public schools.

Kristen holds a BA in International Studies and Spanish from the University of Iowa and an MPA with a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy from the University of Southern California.
