Courtney Criswell

Courtney is a connector, campaign strategist, and champion for learners, driven by the belief that every student deserves the opportunity and support to thrive.  For nearly two decades, Courtney has worked at the intersection of education policy, communications, and coalition building, partnering with national networks, philanthropies, advocacy organizations, and government leaders to turn bold ideas into lasting change. Her career includes leadership roles at the PIE Network, the KIPP Foundation, and the Broad Foundation, as well as public service at the U.S. Department of Education and on Capitol Hill.

Courtney joined the Empower Schools Board of Directorsin 2025.
