Melissa is a nonprofit and education leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning higher education, K–12 support, and environmental programs. She specializes in improving access to learning, strengthening community partnerships, and building systems that help people succeed.
She holds a Master’s in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy from Bay Path University and previously spent 11 years at Colorado Mesa University in Student Success and TRIO leadership roles. Melissa currently serves as a governor-appointed Colorado Commissioner of Community Service and sits on the CDE Accountability Working Group.
A Western Colorado native by choice, she loves exploring the outdoors with her children and dog.
